Dr. Christi Nguyen is the Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer at Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas. She also is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation’s MSN Nursing Administration and DNP program. She is an experienced nurse leader holding prior leadership positions in inpatient and outpatient services, risk management, and nursing operations in community and safety net hospitals, and large academic medical center.
Dr. Nguyen holds a DNP from Texas Christian University and MSN, MHA and BSN from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) and Executive in Nursing Practice (CENP).
She is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE) and a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. Dr. Nguyen is a member of American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), Texas Organization for Nursing Leadership (TONL), North Central Organization for Nursing Leadership (NCONL) and ACHE. She serves as the TONL President-Elect, President of the DFW Great 100 Board and NCONL Board Advisor.
Dr. Nguyen is married and has a 23-year-old daughter who is a CPA tax accountant with Ernst & Young in Dallas. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, travel, and garden.
