Maciej Witkos is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and an Emergency Medicine physician. Utilizing his rich two decades of healthcare experience he conducts research on clinical geriatric care devices and protocols. He is advancing a protocol for elderly patient abandonment in the ER, supported through John A. Hartford Foundation National Collaboratory to Address Elder Mistreatment. As the Chief Medical Officer at AlPep and EZ Bedpans he is focused on developing devices that ease the burden of care experienced by front line healthcare workers and families taking care of their loved one. He utilizes direct nursing input and reported experiences throughout the development process for protocols and devices.
