
For many years, Dr. Budzyńska has focused her professional interests on wound treatment. She spent seven years working as a nurse in the Burn Ward in Poznań, Poland, gaining extensive experience in the care of burn patients. In 2022, she completed her doctoral studies at the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań, earning the title of Doctor of Health Sciences. Her doctoral dissertation centered on research involving burn patients, presenting a holistic approach to treatment that addressed both physical and psychological aspects. This comprehensive perspective is particularly valuable in the field of oncology, where Dr. Budzyńska is currently advancing her career.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Budzyńska has been actively involved in academic teaching. She has conducted courses for nursing, pharmacy, and medical students on topics including wound management, nutritional therapy, and the fundamentals of surgery. Her research has predominantly focused on wound care, particularly in the management of burn wounds. She is the author and co-author of several scientific publications, including those published in impact-factor journals. Furthermore, she has participated in numerous training programs and conferences, frequently serving as a speaker.
Dr. Budzyńska's current professional interests center on the care and treatment of radiation-induced reactions affecting the skin and mucous membranes in patients undergoing radiotherapy. Notably, she is a co-author of the Polish guidelines for the care of skin and mucous membranes before, during, and after radiotherapy. A significant aspect of her role is her leadership within the nursing team. As a team leader, she is responsible for organizing workflows, supporting the professional development of her colleagues, and overseeing the coordination of care for patients experiencing radiation-induced skin reactions. Additionally, she is a member of the Hospital Team for Radiation-Induced Reactions, further contributing to the advancement of best practices in this specialized field.
